Currently, Chery in Russia focuses on selling crossovers. The lineup includes the Tiggo 4 family with a PRO variant on the horizon, the Tiggo 7 PRO, and the larger Tiggo 8 series including the 8 PRO and 8 PRO MAX. Prices for these models range from 1.7 million to 3.44 million rubles.

In a notable shift, Vladimir Shmakov, the CEO of Chery Automobiles Rus, indicated that two sedan models would enter the Russian market in 2023. Sedans still retain popularity in Russia when compared to several European markets, where demand has cooled for this body style.

Chery Arrizo 5 Plus is among the sedans referenced in the lineup discussions, alongside Arrizo 5 PRO and Arrizo GX. In China, these cars are priced approximately at 70-100 thousand yuan for the Arrizo 5 Plus, 60-70 thousand yuan for the Arrizo 5 PRO, and 86-130 thousand yuan for the Arrizo GX. Translated into rubles, these figures equate to roughly 600-870 thousand rubles for the Arrizo 5 Plus, 520-600 thousand rubles for the Arrizo 5 PRO, and 750 thousand to 1.13 million rubles for the Arrizo GX.

The Arrizo 5 PRO and the EXEED sub-brand premium sedans are discussed in context with the overall sedan strategy. EXEED, a premium branch under Chery, does not currently include sedans in its model range, mirroring the positioning of other Chery brands such as Omoda, where the focus remains on crossover and SUV segments rather than traditional sedans.

In the Russian market, Chery has established itself as a leading Chinese automaker, aided by Avtostat data that highlights the Tiggo 4 crossover as a standout value proposition and the most popular model among budget-conscious buyers. This growth underscores the emphasis on affordable, practical utility vehicles that resonate with Russian consumer preferences while aligning with the broader strategy of expanding Chinese brands in the region. Market observers note the brand’s success as part of the shifting landscape for automotive imports in Russia and the competitive positioning against other international players.
