Chery’s Tiggo 9 crossover for the Russian market will arrive equipped with an automatic parking system that blends smart technologies with practical convenience. The feature, as reported by Chery’s press service, fuses ultrasonic radar sensors with a 360-degree camera array to assist drivers in parking maneuvers. It supports parallel, perpendicular, and diagonal parking, and the autopilot parking function stores sequences learned during initial use to speed up and simplify repeated parking tasks.
The Advanced Parking Assist system relies on ultrasonic sensors and omnidirectional cameras to capture a complete view around the vehicle. It can steer the Tiggo 9 into spots aligned in various directions, while the driver controls speed and awareness of surroundings. The system remembers preferred parking routes so that, after the first successful maneuver, it can reproduce the process more quickly with fewer adjustments.
This model marks the first Tiggo built on the new T2X platform in Russia, designed to improve ride quality and handling. Among its highlighted features are hydraulic silent blocks that reduce noise and vibration and the CDC active damping system that adjusts shock absorber stiffness in real time to balance comfort and road feel. The equipment list also includes autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control with traffic jam assist, and the automatic parking system to boost safety and convenience.
Measured at 4810 mm in length, 1925 mm in width, 1741 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2770 mm, the Tiggo 9 projects a substantial footprint and generous interior space. In China, the lineup is offered in five body colors, including black, silver, gray, and two white variants, giving buyers extra choice.
Under the hood of the gasoline version is a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine delivering 257 horsepower. Depending on configuration, buyers can choose between a seven-speed automated manual gearbox or an eight-speed conventional automatic transmission, providing a balance of brisk acceleration and smooth highway cruising. Official fuel consumption is listed at about 7.5 liters of AI-95 gasoline per 100 kilometers.
There is also a hybrid option that combines a 1.5-liter turbo gasoline engine with a front-mounted 221-horsepower electric motor. The total range with a full tank and charged battery exceeds 1,400 kilometers, making long trips less frequent for those who value efficiency and flexibility.
Earlier reports confirmed that the new Chery crossover has appeared in Russian dealers, signaling its arrival in the local market as part of the brand’s expansion strategy.
