Pushing power is a 197 hp 2.0-liter petrol engine paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. With four-wheel drive engaged, the crossover launches from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of 195 km/h, delivering a confident highway and urban performance profile.
The vehicle employs an intelligent AWD system with six driving modes, developed in collaboration with BorgWarner. The system relies on an electromagnetic multi-disc clutch to modulate torque distribution between axles, enhancing traction and stability across diverse road conditions.
On test runs, fuel consumption sits at about 7.3 liters per 100 km in full throttle track-style driving, 8.5 liters in mixed conditions, and 10.4 liters in city cycles. The engine is designed to run efficiently on regular 92-octane gasoline while maintaining robust performance.
Pricing and exact trim levels for the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Max have not been disclosed yet. Details are expected to be released on April 22 at 2:00 p.m. Moscow time, alongside final specifications and packaging options for the Canadian and American markets.
