Changan’s entry-level sedan, the Alsvin, has seen a price bump in Russia, climbing by 100,000 rubles or about 6.1 percent, as noted in the daily automotive brief. This shift reflects a broader trend in the market and is part of a routine update that industry watchers track each month.

By September 1, the Alsvin’s base configuration is priced at 1.75 million rubles. The standard package is well equipped for the segment, featuring LED headlights, 15-inch wheels, power windows, and adjustable seating for both occupants, with the driver’s seat offering six-way adjustment and the front passenger four-way. The model also includes a remote trunk release, adding a practical convenience for everyday use.

Pricing for the second, higher-grade configuration remains unchanged at 1.8 million rubles. This version adds a sunroof, a tire pressure monitoring system, a side-view camera, and a start/stop system for improved efficiency. The Alsvin is powered by a 107 horsepower naturally aspirated engine delivering 145 Nm of torque, paired with a five-speed dual-clutch transmission for a smooth driving experience.

In August, results show that 14 automotive brands updated their pricing for cars in Russia, underscoring a period of adjustments that affect consumer choices and dealer planning. Market observers note that such changes can influence short-term demand, while longer-term dynamics depend on factors like exchange rates, component costs, and regulatory conditions.

Earlier reports indicated that Changan planned to begin sales of its fifteenth model in Russia, signaling ongoing expansion and a continued push into the local market. This move aligns with a pattern of product introductions designed to broaden the brand’s lineup and offer buyers more options within the competitive Russian sedan segment.
