With a unique three-wheel layout—one wheel up front and two at the rear—the Carver One leans into corners much like a motorcycle, handling turns at angles up to 45 degrees.

This remarkable vehicle debuted in 2007 from a Dutch manufacturer. The standout feature is its hydraulic cylinder system, which links the front of the bike to the rear of the car. And there are more surprises beneath the surface.

Instead of a traditional steering wheel, the Carver One uses an unconventional setup where a steering wheel, three pedals, and a gear lever sit on the right side, arranged in a tandem fashion. The passenger sits directly behind the driver, creating a compact, shared cockpit experience.

The rear wheels are driven by a 659cc Daihatsu 16-valve inline-four turbocharged engine, producing 65 horsepower. The car’s light weight plays a crucial role in its performance.

At a curb weight of around 670 kg, the Carver One can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in roughly 8 seconds and can reach a top speed of about 185 km/h. In terms of cost, this three-wheeled curiosity was priced in the same range as a mid‑2000s Lotus Elise, offering a distinctive blend of performance and novelty.
