On April 11, a traffic crash occurred on the Simferopol-Bakhchisarai-Sevastopol highway when a passenger bus collided with two cars. The Sevastopol police reported this incident through their Telegraph channel, offering initial details from the scene.

Initial information indicates that the bus driver, born in 1967, was operating a BAZ bus on the 47th kilometer of the highway at approximately 13:40 local time. In what investigators describe as a misjudgment of safe following distance, the bus rear-ended two vehicles traveling ahead on the road, a Mercedes-Benz and a Kia. The collision disrupted traffic in the area and prompted a response from emergency services.

The driver of the bus sustained injuries in the crash and was transported to a hospital for treatment. According to officials, none of the bus passengers were reported to have suffered injuries in the incident, though assessments of all occupants were ongoing as a precautionary measure.

In a separate, previously reported event, authorities detained a 16-year-old student who was believed to be intoxicated. After a high-speed pursuit, the teen allegedly attempted to enter his mother’s car, according to traffic inspectors.
