A traffic police officer in Ufa is under suspicion for accepting money at the entrance of the city traffic police regiment building, according to a Telegram channel report from Mash Batash.
The account states that the inspector stopped a VAZ-2110 driven by a person who had previously lost their license. Law enforcement allegedly demanded a bribe of 5 thousand rubles to overlook the violation and kept the driver’s passport as collateral because the driver could not pay on the spot.
The payment was arranged at the traffic police headquarters. After handing over the money and surrendering the passport, the driver contacted the police hot line to report the incident. The case is being reviewed by the Investigation Committee.
