In Bashkortostan, a Baymak resident stunned onlookers by stopping a rolling car with one hand. A footage captured by a nearby camera shows him clearing snow from the road when a Kia Sportage SUV was parked in the vicinity. The driver had left the vehicle, likely forgetting to engage the parking gear, which allowed the car to begin rolling backward toward the highway.

As the vehicle started to move, the man managed to halt it with a single hand, despite icy conditions under his feet. Local chatter identifies the man as Timur, described as a consultant for a home appliance store. Reports also note that in the summer Timur successfully braked a rolling car that carried a child inside.

Requires 7,000 tires in popular sizes

Without properly fitted tires, public order can’t be maintained, and medical care cannot be delivered to those in need. The phrase
“Behind the Wheel” has joined forces with a broad public-front initiative to raise funds for tires destined for essential services. The goal is to equip cars used by the People’s Police and operational services of the LPR and DPR with reliable tires, along with ambulances, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and vehicles delivering humanitarian aid to residents in Donbass, as well as for army equipment. Contributions can be made on the collection page.
