The official communications from BAIC emphasize that the crossover is available in a single configuration, with prices beginning at 3.1 million rubles. This move signals the company’s continued expansion into the Russian automotive market and a focus on offering a well-equipped vehicle at a competitive price point.
Manufacturing of the Chinese-built BAIC X7 takes place at the Avtotor facility in Kaliningrad. The crossover is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine rated at 180 horsepower and 270 Nm of torque, paired with a robotic transmission. It is a front-wheel drive model, with overall dimensions highlighting a length of 4710 mm and a wheelbase of 2800 mm. The combination of a turbocharged powertrain and city-friendly drivetrain makes it suitable for urban commuting as well as longer trips, aligning with BAIC’s intent to offer practical performance in a mid-size segment.
Standard equipment on the BAIC X7 includes rear parking sensors and a 360-degree camera system, a panoramic power sunroof, a heated steering wheel, and heated side mirrors. The SUV also benefits from a comprehensive suite of active safety features and other options, underscoring a focus on convenience, comfort, and driver assistance. The luggage compartment offers a capacity of 470 liters, providing ample space for everyday usage and weekend getaways, with room to grow when needed for larger cargo needs.
