AVTOVAZ’s press service reported that YaMoskva has taken delivery of another shipment from the manufacturer. The latest consignment includes 300 Lada Granta sedans. Earlier in August, a batch of 200 cars was sent, and deliveries are slated to continue through the end of the year.
The organization in question is a significant player in the taxi car rental sector. Its fleet numbers exceed two thousand vehicles, with about 1.5 thousand of them being Ladas. The company maintains a presence in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Voronezh, and Rostov-on-Don and is an official partner of Yandex Taxi, strengthening its position in the urban mobility market. In mid-November, Maxim Sokolov, head of AVTOVAZ, stated that Lada cars would not be introduced into Yandex car-sharing and taxi services in the near term. The reason is that the aggregator has shown a preference for vehicles with automatic transmissions. The return of automatic Ladas is projected for spring 2024. (Citation: AVTOVAZ press service)
Requires 7,000 tires in popular sizes
Without stable tire provision, public order cannot be maintained, and essential medical care for those in need would be compromised.
The program known as “Behind the Wheel”—in collaboration with the Popular Front—has begun collecting funds to purchase tires for the fleets of the People’s Police and the operational services of the LPR and DPR. The drive will support ambulances, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and vehicles delivering humanitarian aid to Donbass, along with military equipment. People can contribute through the collection page. (Citation: Community initiative reports)
