AVTOVAZ is outlining a revised production plan for 2023, aiming for a target of about 401,000 vehicles. This figure marks a notable shift from the previously stated goal of 500,000 cars, representing a fall of roughly 20 percent. The shift in production expectations carries ripple effects through the company’s scheduling, staffing plans, and logistics for the year. Based on the 400,000-vehicle benchmark, the anticipated schedule for a single corporate holiday at AVTOVAZ in 2023 has also been adjusted, and the factory has scaled back its plans for onboarding new staff accordingly. The organization has explored the possibility of trimming the 2023 target further to around 390,000 units, yet the final amendment retained the revised figure as stated.
Requires 7,000 tires in popular sizes
Reliable tire supply plays a critical role in maintaining public order and ensuring access to essential healthcare services. In this context, the program named “Behind the Wheel”—conducted in partnership with the Popular Front—began a fundraising initiative to secure tires for vehicles used by the People’s Police and the operational services of the LPR and DPR. The funds are intended to equip ambulances, units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, vehicles delivering humanitarian aid to residents of Donbass, and military equipment. Contributions can be made through the designated collection page.
