Avtovaz Granta trims: gray enamel accents may replace chrome

Apparently, AVTOVAZ is testing new color choices for the front bumper moldings on the Granta, which form a distinctive X shape across the front of both fresh and refreshed Lada models. In recent exposures, the bumper liner is not chrome-plated anymore but coated in a metallic gray enamel. The same coating also covers the rear nameplates and the car’s nose emblem, creating a cohesive look across the external branding.

This variation isn’t the only change on the horizon. The Avtograd News community shared a photo of a Granta with the X accent finished in a glossy black. The source notes that cars with this color scheme have recently left the factory in Tolyatti. Meanwhile, other elements on the body — including the nose emblem and nameplates — retain the gray enamel finish.

Analysts suggest gray could become the primary tone for decorative components, replacing chrome as a cost-saving measure by substituting with more affordable materials. Black could appear as an optional feature, perhaps tied to a future special edition. As of now, these color tweaks have not been officially announced and have not altered vehicle prices.

– Recently, price adjustments were attributed to a separate factor: AVTOVAZ resumed production of Grants equipped with airbags.
