The Togliatti factory is nearing full capacity again. The five‑day workweek is back, with Lada Granta built in two shifts and Niva in a single shift. Starting August 29, a six‑day workweek will be adopted, and in the autumn the lines will run until two in the morning.

With these changes, the plant is expected to produce about 100,000 cars in the second half of the year. In the current market, monthly Lada sales hover just over 10,000 units. From September, deliveries are projected to climb to around 16–17 thousand cars per month, signaling demand that exceeds supply by more than one‑and‑a‑half times.

As a result, dealers are likely to start trimming prices and reduce the number of optional extras. This shift should stimulate demand and could help restore a more typical dealer profitability, where earnings come from volume rather than inflated margins.

Industry observers note that AVTOVAZ has room to maneuver while competition remains moderate. The introduction of subsidized loans under a preferential program also helps extend discounts on Lada models. This combination of affordability and available inventory is expected to attract buyers seeking a priced and reliable option. Taxi fleets are also seen as potential buyers of AVTOVAZ vehicles, contributing to steady demand (Kommersant).

Looking ahead, AVTOVAZ is positioned to return to pre‑crisis production levels, with the aim of reaching half a million units in the near future, mirroring the volume seen before the pandemic (Kommersant).
