Data show that the market for freshly certified used cars reached a peak in the second quarter of 2022. In that peak, models in the mass segment carried an average price just above 2.8 million rubles, while premium segment vehicles averaged around 8.4 million rubles, revealing a clear split between mainstream and luxury pricing bands.

In the following quarter, the average price for premium cars declined by 17.8 percent, and the average price for mass market cars fell by 9 percent. The quarterly results for 2023 indicate that prices returned to the levels seen in the same period the previous year, with the mass market averaging about 2.7 million rubles per vehicle batch and premium models averaging around 7.6 million rubles.

Earlier reports noted that GAS submitted a new arbitration request totaling 28.4 billion rubles against Volkswagen AG. This development reflects ongoing corporate disputes impacting the broader used car market and related pricing dynamics.
