In the Chelyabinsk region, a taxi driver attempted to ignite a building that housed the village administration of Severny, a post office, and a store. This information was released by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Chelyabinsk region.
Officers identified a 38-year-old local man with prior convictions as a participant in the incident. Investigators stated that the man acted after a domestic dispute with his wife. He allegedly poured flammable liquid on himself and tried to ignite it with a lighter, but he did not carry out his plan. He then fled the scene, according to the press service.
The authorities noted that the man’s wife worked at the “Products” shop located in the building the man attempted to burn. The suspect was detained, and the question of whether criminal proceedings would be initiated is under consideration.
Earlier reports described a separate event in Kaluga, where a bus carrying passengers was shot at while it was parked at Nurses Square. It was reported that the shooter targeted the driver’s cabin specifically.
In another unrelated incident, near Seoul, an ostrich caused two crashes, which were captured on video. Local observers noted unusual behavior and the vehicles involved in the incidents, prompting discussions about wildlife on or near roadways.
