Authorities stated that the Mazda driver sustained fatal injuries at the scene, the truck driver was taken to a medical facility with moderate injuries, and none of the passengers or the bus driver were reported injured. The police described the outcome in a formal release.

Additionally, the Telegram channel of the St. Petersburg police published footage from a separate mass collision on Sofiyeskaya Street, where a dump truck collided with a stream of moving vehicles in the oncoming lane.
