The Icelandic company Arctic Trucks has subsidiaries in several countries of the world, including Russia. Her specialization is extreme, lofty versions of Japanese pickups and SUVs. The current situation forced the company to look for other sources for Russian customers.
The firstborn of “import substitution” was a project based on the Chinese Great Wall Wingle 7 pickup truck.
What improvements?
The change of base series of improvements has not changed.
The car sits on 35-inch wheels on “bad” rubber, the suspension elements and the geometry of the wings have been changed for them, massive wheel arch extensions and fenders, suitable steps and wheel arch liners have been added.
You can also order an extended bottom protection and a winch, for example.
This increases the clearance from 212 to 276 mm, the increase is 80 mm in height and 230 mm in width. The curb weight increases by 70 kg, but Arctic Trucks does not change the entire passport. The angles of entry (36 degrees instead of 29) and exit (29 degrees instead of 23) become more aggressive. All units remain standard: a 143 hp diesel engine in combination with a manual transmission.
According to preliminary information, the basic package of improvements will cost about a million rubles.
