Many Russian drivers believe that mixing brake fluids can cause the car to break down, but this is not the case. It has been said Alexey Revin, auto expert of Za Rulem magazine.
“The situation is almost the same with motor oils: more modern oils can be poured into old ones, but it is undesirable to change them back. Practically all brake fluids based on the same basis (for example, DOT 3, DOT 4 and DOT 5.1) can be mixed with each other,” he said.
The auto expert added that DOT 3 should not be used in very cold weather or high altitudes. According to Revin, it is better to choose higher temperature fluids. They are suitable for high-speed cars, hot and mountainous areas.
Revin concluded that mixing only silicone-based DOT 5 fluids is prohibited.
There was before that too named Five main mistakes when replacing a windshield. According to experts, most drivers prefer to “drill holes” until the windshield eventually cracks. However, you need to change it not only after a crack or a large chip appears, but also because it wears out naturally, that is, when the glue rubs and dries.
Experts warn drivers not to slide their windshields, as cheap versions often impair visibility, leading to accidents. Also, do not save on hiring a specialist, as improper installation will lead to the need for additional repairs.
