In Russia, the Chinese minivan Forthing Yacht has become cheaper by 790 thousand rubles, thanks to the localization of production at the Avtotor plant in Kaliningrad. This was reported by the press service of the distributor of the Russian brand Ixen Motors.
The company announced that it was possible to reduce the price tag thanks to the large order of car kits and the implementation of subsidy programs. As a result, the cost of the minivan dropped to 3.4 million rubles.
Previously, the model was assembled in China, but now production is carried out in Kaliningrad using the small node method.
In addition, the new product received Russification of the multimedia system, heated steering wheel and windshield. Changes have also occurred in the cabin: instead of two captain’s chairs in the second row, a three-seater sofa appeared.

Ixen Motors Rus noted that the model was initially going to be sold for 2.3 million rubles, but later it was decided to increase production and reduce prices. The company was able to do this through subsidy programs. The company will announce the start of sales later.
In Russia, the Forthing T5 will be available with a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine producing 144 hp. and six-speed automatic transmission.
