“Avtotor” started production of cars of the Chinese brand Jetour in Kaliningrad

Kaliningrad Avtotor plant has started production of Jetour Dashing crossovers from the Middle Kingdom. This was reported by the press service of the Russian company.

Within the scope of the agreement between Avtotor and Jetour, it is planned to prepare facilities for the full cycle production of Chinese automobiles and to gradually increase localization. The companies also identified areas where cooperation should be improved by 2028.

Avtotor Holding Chairman Valery Gorbunov said that the company plans to assemble approximately 10-15 thousand Jetour vehicles in 2024, but the final result will depend on the market.

The model was launched in Russia in March 2023 and is available in five trim levels.

It was previously reported that the Jetour brand will be available for sale by the end of 2024. will be output All-wheel drive versions of two crossovers – Dashing and X90 Plus – are coming to the Russian market. The premiere is planned for the end of this year. At the same time, the all-wheel drive version of Jetour Dashing is not even available in the Chinese market. In Russia, the front-wheel drive Jetour Dashing is offered with a 1.5 turbo engine producing 147 hp, paired with a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed “robot”. A 1.6 unit producing 190 hp is also available. This Dashing is equipped with a 7-speed manual transmission. The cost of the pass is from 2.49 to 3.19 million rubles.

The updated Jetour X90 Plus in the all-wheel drive version will have a 2.0 engine and an 8-speed automatic transmission. The current version of the crossover is offered in Russia with 1.6 (190 hp) and 2.0 (245 hp) engines and front-wheel drive.
