A survey conducted among Russians showed that the majority of people living in Russia do not trust pickup trucks. Such results guide Experts from the Avtostat agency conducted an online survey together with Za Rulem magazine and found out how citizens feel about choosing a car.
The research showed that 82.4% of participants had never used the auto-aggregator. The main reason is insecurity (51.6%). Most Russians prefer to search and buy a car on their own. Additionally, 30.8% of the participants had never heard of such a service. Only 17.6% of respondents have a positive attitude towards automatic selection. Another 10.4% have already contacted such experts, and 7.2% plan to do so in the near future.
Automobile expert Sergei Zinoviev believes that the distrust of car pick-up vehicles is quite understandable.
“Some car pickers are probably smart experts: they understand cars and use databases to check the transparency of their history. The other part is not so. And it is not always possible to distinguish the smart from the stupid. Having a nice website with positive reviews does not confirm anything. Usually the auto picker “And the seller is the same person. And they are interested in persuading a potential buyer to buy the product that the seller wants to sell,” he explained.
Zinoviev added that many dealers immediately try to establish a connection between the seller and the buyer in order not to register the car in their name and at the same time make a profit on the transaction.
