Electric motorcycles of the Aurus brand may soon appear in Russia, which will bear characteristic elements of the brand, they are currently in the testing phase. In an interview about this kp.ru said Yuri Chernenko, chief designer of the Russian limousine Aurus.
“Motorcycles run on electric power; It’s a fairly new word, but “electric” has a good future in motorcycle technology. <…> Additionally, the motorcycle is relatively lightweight and does not need a large, powerful battery. The name of the motorcycle will be Aurus Merlon. Merlon is a battlement in the Kremlin wall. It is also planned to produce a version that is available for free sale,” said Chernenko.
According to him, in the future, the motorcycles will be used to accompany the presidential limousine as well as to travel at special events.
