According to Avtopotok’s source in the company, the reason for the delay in shipment is the airbags coming from the new supplier, for which AvtoVAZ needs to obtain certification from the other party. Until this moment, the plant is not able to send assembled Lada Vestas to the dealer network. At the same time, there is no sign of origin on the pillows in order to avoid exposing the supplier to secondary sanctions.
Before that, it was known that AvtoVAZ plans Production of Lada Granta Cross cars continues. This should happen in April 2024. Production of Granta Cross station wagons was interrupted in December 2023 due to problems with components.
