Chinese automaker BAIC will introduce a new modification of the BJ40 SUV to the Russian market in spring 2024. In this respect reports “Rossiyskaya Gazeta” with reference to the BAIC press service.
In the summer of 2024, the BAIC BJ60 SUV will also appear in Russia. The automaker has not yet presented detailed specifications of the new version of the BAIC BJ40. The all-wheel drive vehicle is expected to receive a diesel engine with a displacement of two liters and a power of 163 hp, paired with an automatic transmission.
BAIC BJ40 is so far sold in Russia in a single specification – with a 2.0 gasoline turbo engine with 225 hp and an eight-speed automatic transmission of the German brand ZF. The SUV is equipped with an all-wheel drive system with a rigidly coupled front axle and a reduction gear.
