The Kaliningrad Avtotor plant announced the creation of a new Ambertruck brand for commercial vehicles. This was reported in the publication Avtotor, picked up by socialbites.ca.
“The development plan of the new brand includes the production of a wide range of commercial vehicles, which is being worked on within the framework of technological cooperation with a number of partners. Models of the Ambertruck brand are adapted for use in Russian conditions with the expectation of high localization of production,” the Avtotor report states.
The trademark was registered in January 2024. Four models of trucks will be assembled in Kaliningrad under the Ambertruck brand. This is a universal truck chassis with a gross weight of 9.4 tons with a 2.9 diesel engine with a power of 156 hp, a compact truck chassis with a gross weight of 3.5 tons and 5 tons for use in cities, a truck with a capacity of 12 tons and a carrying capacity of 872 kg capacity pickup truck.
Ambertruck trucks can be equipped with a variety of add-ons, including flatbed pickups, pickup trucks, garbage trucks, tow trucks and others.
