In the Astrakhan region, vehicle traffic was temporarily closed on a section of the R-22 “Caspian” federal highway due to severe weather conditions. This was reported by press service Regional headquarters of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia.

“Information was received that vehicle traffic was temporarily stopped.” <…> In the 1100-1220 km section,” the ministry warned.

According to the Ministry of Emergencies, due to heavy snow and rain, restrictions will last for several hours in both directions until 00:30 (23:30 Moscow time).

The publication states that four heating points and a temporary accommodation room have been installed in the area. There are currently six units of equipment operating there.
