AvtoVAZ’s sales in Russia almost doubled in 2023, reaching 352.5 thousand vehicles. In this respect reports TASS reported, citing company president Maxim Sokolov.
“AvtoVAZ and our brand are so far the only brand – I’m not talking about sub-brands – Lada has not only a dominant, leading position in the Russian market with a record sales volume of 352.5 thousand cars,” Sokolov said.
The automobile manufacturer sold 188.6 thousand cars by the end of 2022, almost doubling its sales increase. It was noted that AvtoVAZ’s share in the Russian market in 2023 will be 35%.
Prior to this, the board of directors of AvtoVAZ approved Company development strategy until 2030. Within this framework, the company will launch 12 new car models.
AvtoVAZ will launch three new Lada models by 2026. Plans for the preparation of new models were confirmed by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov. According to him, production of three models will start in the next three years: Lada Aura in 2024, Lada Iskra in 2025 and a new crossover on the Vesta platform in 2026.
