A drunk driver wearing a Santa Claus costume caused an accident while delivering gifts on Christmas Eve in Germany. In this respect reports Spiegel newspaper.
The incident took place in the city of Mühlhausen in central Germany. A 54-year-old man swerved his own car and crashed into another car and the front of a heavily damaged house.
Police teams arriving at the scene detected signs of alcohol poisoning in the driver, and a blood test was taken from the man. He is currently under investigation on suspicion of endangering road safety and has had his driver’s license confiscated.
It was noted that the gifts remained intact as a result of the accident. Despite what happened, the man said he still plans to deliver gifts to his family and friends.
