Russian automaker AvtoVAZ has temporarily started producing Lada Granta Sport cars without airbags. In this respect reports Avtograd News is publicly available on the VKontakte social network. This is due to the lack of components.
“The Lada Granta Sport car was again left without airbags, like its counterparts on the main assembly line,” the message says.
Externally, the Granta Sport is distinguished by distinctive bumpers and radiator grille with red stripes, as well as the Sport nameplate on the trunk lid, door sill finishers and gloss black side mirror caps. Tested in the AvtoVAZ wind tunnel, the body kit reduces the lift coefficient by 45%. The interior is equipped with seats with lateral support and a leather steering wheel with red zero markings. Red color is used on the instrument panel and bumper coverings.
Lada Granta Sport is equipped with a 16-valve engine producing 118 hp. The engine received changes to the intake and exhaust systems, fuel system, gas distribution mechanism and controller program.
