According to the publication, Lacetti production at the facility in Uzbekistan will be stopped at the beginning of 2024. The released production capacity will be reallocated in favor of the Chevrolet Cobalt and Onix sedans. Also on the conveyor belt of the plant is supposed to appear a new budget model of the American brand, its name has not yet been announced.
The automaker is expected to deliver the last batch of cars to customers before shutting down production.
In Uzbekistan, Lacetti sedans are offered at prices starting from 169.1 thousand soums (1.25 million rubles). The sedan is equipped with a 1.5 engine producing 106 hp. and 6-speed automatic transmission.
