Parts of the Novorossiya federal highway, part of the land corridor to Crimea, could be widened to four lanes by 2026. This was reported by TASS With reference to the press service of Rosavtodor.

It was reported that 37 km of the R-280 Novorossiya federal highway will be expanded to four lanes by the end of 2025. The highway connecting Mariupol to the Rostov region will undergo a major overhaul, which will include widening it to four lanes.

Before that, the governor of the Zaporozhye region, Evgeniy Balitsky statedThat the land route to Crimea via Zaporozhye is safe, but leaving it is not recommended.

Balitsky noted that it is also good for travelers to choose Melitopol or Berdyansk. At the same time, he emphasized that such settlements in the region as Pologi, Energodar, Vasilievka, Mikhailovka, Kuibyshevo and Tokmak are as close as possible to the front line, so visiting them is extremely undesirable.
