AvtoVAZ is considering the possibility of increasing the number of Lada Granta trim levels due to the budget version without airbags, report “Automobile news of the day”, referring to the press service of the factory.
“These cars fully comply with current regulations and vehicle safety rules in Russia and, judging by last year’s sales experience, are in high demand among buyers,” AvtoVAZ press service told the publication.
The company did not announce the timing of the launch of Lada Granta, which does not have airbags. In 2022, such cars have already been sold in Russia amid problems with the supply of components.
AvtoVAZ restarted production of Lada Granta without airbags, reported Public page of Avtograd news on the VKontakte social network. AvtoVAZ did not confirm this information.
