A new GOST will appear in Russia to combat ice on highways. In this respect reports “Kommersant”.
It is stated that the uniform rules for the use of anti-icing materials (AGM) on suburban roads were prepared by order of Rosavtodor, since the previous ones were out of date. The document will record when the process should begin, especially after snowfall has started, and when the resulting “snow mass” should be removed from the road. And while PGM is implemented, road services will be prohibited from staining oncoming cars with the chemical.
The new standard is planned to be discussed and approved by May 2024.

Studded tires are suitable for Central Russian winters. “Scandinavian” tires are designed for severe frosts. “European” tires are suitable for southern regions where winters are mild and there is little snow.
