Kia in South Korea announced about the start of accepting orders for the updated K5 sedan. The restyling took place in the middle of the life cycle of the model introduced four years ago.
The updated sedan, previously known as Optima, received new headlights and taillights. The optics are made in the same style as the recently shown electric crossovers of the Korean brand. The bumper configuration of the K5 has also changed. Larger ventilation holes appeared on the front. New exhaust pipes are visible at the rear. The updated K5 has also been given new design wheels. Depending on configuration, seat diameters range from 16 to 19 inches.
The cabin features a panoramic curved display and an optimized block of buttons used to control the media system and climate control. The updated K5 is offered with four powertrains in the Korean market. This is a 2.0 naturally aspirated gasoline engine with 160 hp, a 1.6 turbo engine (180 hp), as well as a 2.0-liter engine running on propane and a hybrid version based on a unit of the same volume.
Prices for the updated Kia K5 in Korea start from 27.84 million won (1.9 million rubles).
Previously Renault presented Kardian crossover in Brazil.
