The facelift brought redesigned bumper assemblies, updated headlights and taillights.
The front bumper looks more expressive, and the radiator grille mesh and air intakes now feature larger cells. The LED headlights have a sharpened graphical appearance. Matte gray plastic inserts in the bumpers gave way to glossy black ones. At the rear, the diffuser motif and the taillight pattern have been refreshed.
Inside, the latest Kia Connect telematics system is standard, with the capability to remotely pre-load trip data into the car’s navigation from a smartphone. USB Type-C ports are provided for rear passengers, and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster with Full HD resolution is offered as an upgrade option. The multimedia system remains 8 inches in the base version and grows to 10.25 inches in the higher-end configuration.

With the facelift, the GT Line version was added to the XCeed range, introducing a sportier appearance and interior upgrades. Externally, it features silver-edged air intakes, a distinctive grille with slender trim, 18-inch wheels, pixel-art taillights and a body-colored diffuser.
The cabin gains a sport-oriented steering wheel with a flat-bottom design, a black headliner, front seats with enhanced lateral support, a perforated leather-trimmed gear selector, aluminum pedal pads and a left footrest, plus embroidered GT badges on the seatbacks.
The 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine with 120 hp and a 48-volt mild-hybrid starter-alternator remains available. In Russia, the 1.5-liter gasoline engine with 150 hp and 253 Nm of torque, and the 1.6-liter engine with 200 hp and 265 Nm, along with a traditional automatic transmission, have not changed. The lineup also includes a 1.6-liter turbo diesel with a mild-hybrid starter and a plug-in hybrid variant pairing a 1.6-liter petrol engine with an electric motor, a 6-speed manual transmission and a lithium-ion battery, delivering a combined output of 141 hp.

The updated XCeed will reach European Union markets in September 2022. Information about its availability in Russia had not been released at the time of the update.
Recall that the XCeed has been in production since 2019 as a compact five-door crossover derived from the popular Ceed line. Its wheelbase mirrors that of a conventional hatchback at 2650 mm, yet most body panels are unique to the XCeed, sharing only the front doors and some internal power components with the Ceed. The overall length measures 4395 mm.
Compared with the standard Ceed, the XCeed offers 44 mm of increased ground clearance, delivering 172 mm on the standard 16-inch setup and 184 mm on the optional 18-inch wheels.
In Russia the XCeed has been available since 2020, assembled at the Avtotor plant in Kaliningrad. Production paused in May 2022 due to anti-Russian sanctions and supply chain disruptions.
