Regional departments of the State Traffic Inspectorate warned Drivers about mass checks of drivers on the roads on Fridays and weekends.
A “Sobriety” raid on drivers was promised in the traffic police in the Omsk region next weekend. The event will be held in the format of continuous checks, where traffic police will check all passing drivers by closing part of the traffic lanes on a certain section of the road. To reduce the number of accidents involving drunk drivers, mass checks on the roads are expected in the Ivanovo region, and large-scale raids will be carried out in the Ryazan region.
The “Drunk Driver” prevention event will be held in the Murmansk region and the Komi Republic, as well as in the Kostroma region, Stavropol region and Smolensk. Traffic police raids in Volgograd started Friday afternoon.
The capital’s traffic police also warned Drivers about the inadmissibility of driving while intoxicated.
Liability for such an offense committed for the first time is provided for in the form of deprivation of driver’s license for 1.5-2 years and a fine of 30 thousand rubles.
