But you still have to perform several unavoidable operations, which are called “clearance”.

2. Excise duty. Based on engine power. From January 1 to December 31, 2022, the rates are as follows:

• up to 90 hp — 0
• from 90 to 150 hp — 53 ₽ for 1 hp
• from 150 to 200 hp — 511 for 1 liter. Of.
• from 200 to 300 hp — 836 ₽ for 1 hp

3. For models not certified in the Russian Federation, you must provide a copy of OTTS . to acquire(Vehicle Type Approval) or SBKTS (Design Safety Certificate, for Used Vehicles).

4. It is necessary to install the ERA-GLONASS device if it doesn’t exist. Most models have it. This is quite a wide range, including Lada, Renault, Skoda, Chevrolet, Korean, some Chinese and many other brands. The EEC has extended the option not to equip cars produced in the EAEU with the “era” until December 31, 2022. They can be imported without an “era”. But made elsewhere – you can’t.

• PTS (EPTS) with a sign of deregistration in Kazakhstan
• Transit numbers and OSAGO
• Customs declaration

Some companies in Kazakhstan offer customs clearance services, obtaining OTTS and SBKTS, delivery of cars to the Russian Federation (container transport is possible).

What about the warranty?

The warranty for cars imported from abroad is a separate issue. Different brands have different conceptions of “global warranty” – warranties around the world.
