Leonid Babashov, a member of the State Duma Committee on the Development of Transport and Transport Infrastructure, explained what should be done to drivers who received someone else’s traffic ticket. In his conversation with socialbites.ca, Babashov emphasized that such a punishment cannot be ignored and that the issue must be resolved through the competent authority.

“Such situations are known in practice. Sometimes even funny cases appear in the media about people being fined for selling their cars a long time ago. Despite its humorous nature, this is still a problem for the recipient of such a “chain letter”. In most cases, this happens due to technical errors. Such problems are solved quite simply – you need to apply to the institution from which the fine came,” explained the deputy.

Babashov added that sometimes other people’s fines can indicate fraud.

“Of course, there may be more serious cases; for example, fraudsters using fake license plates. In this case the first step is the same; a statement, but then the matter can go to court,” he concluded.

Formerly in the State Duma said about the old Soviet method used by experienced gardeners.
