Nissan has launched portable power sources based on the batteries of older Leaf electric vehicles. In this respect informs Associated press.
Portable batteries were developed by Nissan in collaboration with electronics manufacturer JVCKenwood and 4R Energy, which is partly owned by the Japanese car company. Batteries can be used both to charge devices and to provide emergency power in the event of a natural disaster.
The weight of the portable battery is 14.4 kg, its cost in Japan is 170.5 thousand yen (112 thousand rubles at the exchange rate at the time of publication).
Nissan Leaf electric vehicles have been produced since 2010, and Nissan has sold more than 650,000 such vehicles worldwide. In the first half of 2023, Leaf is the most popular Electric car in the secondary market of Russia.
