“From September 1, 2023, JSC AvtoVAZ will resume production of vehicles that comply with the Euro-5 environmental standard. Recall that due to the sanctions restrictions imposed, the Company had to temporarily switch to a lower Euro-2 standard in 2022.
It is noted that new engine control units are being developed in Russia. At the first stage, Euro-5 engines will be installed on Lada Granta sedans and liftbacks. When such engines will appear on other AvtoVAZ models will be announced later.
