Operating under the name “MB RUS”, the former Russian branch of Mercedes-Benz will introduce commercial vehicles of Chinese brands Forland and Foton at the Comtrans fair in Moscow. The company announced this in a press release received by socialbites.ca.
Under the Forland brand, light and medium-duty chassis with a gross weight of 3 to 12 tons will be launched in Russia. Three versions of the wheelbase and different cargo compartment sizes will be available for the models; The list of options will include active security systems, air conditioning, multimedia system and others.
The low-tonnage Foton Toano, created by the experts working on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, will also be presented at the exhibition. The car is equipped with a 2.8-liter turbodiesel with a capacity of 149 hp. (330 Nm) and 6-speed manual transmission. The car will be shown in two versions: an all-metal van and a passenger bus.
