The price of premium cars imported into Russia through parallel imports will increase by about 1 million rubles in the near future. According to Zhelobov, the increase in prices is linked to an increase in the recycling fee from 1 August. Depending on the working volume of the engine, the scrap rate in passenger cars increased by 1.7-3.7 times.
“The disposal fee for such cars will be up to 1 million rubles. As a result, the prices of premium segment cars will increase by about the same amount,” he said.
