The AGR Russia plant (former Volkswagen in Kaluga) will produce electric vehicles. The head of the business, Lubomir Naiman, spoke about this at MIMS Automechanika as part of the ROAD convention, informs Telegram channel Unlimited.

It is stated that Mr. Nyman has announced that in addition to electric vehicles, many new brands have appeared on the assembly line of the Kaluga Automobile Plant. No information is given about which machines are being talked about.

Volkswagen Group has officially announced that its Russian assets will be sold in May 2023. Buyer Volkswagen Group Rus LLC has acquired Volkswagen Components and Services, Scania Leasing, Scania Finance and Scania Insurance, as well as its distribution and after-sales business, the plant in Kaluga. Volkswagen Tiguan and Polo models as well as Skoda Rapid were assembled at the Kaluga plant. The plant has been discontinued since March 2022.
