BYD unveils a new hybrid SUV

Chinese company BYD introduced the new SUV Leopard 5, which will be sold under the brand name FangChengBao in the domestic market. In this respect informs autoreview.ru.

FangChengBao is a new brand located between Denza and Yangwang in BYD’s corporate hierarchy. Leopard 5 is built on the new DM-o platform. The length of the car is about 5 meters, and the wheelbase is 2.8 meters. The car received a wide grille connecting the headlights, a flat windshield and large rear-view mirrors.

The crossover was equipped with a hybrid power plant consisting of a gasoline engine and two traction electric motors (one for each axle). Total power is 650 hp. The range of Leopard 5 is 1200 km.

The cost of the car in China will be 400 thousand yuan (5.2 million rubles). Sales will begin at the end of 2023.
