The first batch of BAIC X55 cars rolled off the assembly line of the Avtotor Kaliningrad automobile plant. This was reported in the publication of the enterprise received by socialbites.ca.
The crossover BAIC X55 was developed by the Chinese automaker BAIC, headquartered in Beijing. It received a 1.5-liter gasoline turbo engine with a capacity of 188 hp. and a seven-speed robotic transmission. From 0 to 100 km/h, the vehicle accelerates in 7.8 seconds.
The crossover is equipped with an all-round camera, six airbags and adaptive cruise control. Other options include an electric tailgate with memory and contactless opening function, dual-zone climate control and a refrigerated box in the center armrest.
Industrial production of BAIC vehicles at Avtotor started in April 2023. In the near future, the company plans to master the production of 7 BAIC models.
