Olga, a Moscow resident who witnessed how a driver knocked over a four-year-old boy at a crosswalk east of the capital, told socialbites.ca that the boy was conscious after the accident. According to him, the driver was “feeling disappointed.”
“The boy was lying on the floor when I approached. I saw a crowd and a child on the ground. Since the ambulance I called had not arrived yet, I rushed to the ambulance standing in our garden. I think the boy was conscious, he definitely had a head injury. The driver stopped by his car (I think it was him) feeling frustrated. She was with her grandmother, her mother came running. As people say, my grandmother was walking with a stroller (a girl in a stroller), moving on a balance bike nearby. There’s always something going on at this crosswalk. No reaction. The transition is uneven. They wrote on portals about the need for speed bumps,” he said.
Nikolai, another eyewitness to the incident, added in an interview with socialbites.ca that the boy suffered a head injury and lost blood, but “moved” after the accident. “The driver was in shock, holding his head, walking in circles,” the man said when he passed the scene.
