The average price of a car from China by mileage in Russia has increased fivefold since the beginning of 2021 and is 1.6 million rubles, report Analysts “Avto.ru” studied ads for sale.
In the winter-spring of 2022, a sharp increase in the prices of used Chinese cars is observed. Over the past year, the weighted average price of such a car has increased by 62%. The price of new cars from China has doubled since January 2021, the average price of such a car is currently 3.2 million rubles.
According to analysts, the increase in average cost is due to the increase in the share of relatively new and expensive cars. Thus, among used cars from China, the number of cars in the middle price segment (from 1.5 to 3 million rubles) increased from 13% to 39% during the year, and copies up to 500 thousand rubles were three times less. (now they occupy 27% of the total market volume).
It has been noted that the fleet of vehicles with mileage from China has become “younger” and the average mileage has decreased from 100-120 thousand kilometers to 75-80 thousand kilometers in two years. New cars account for three-quarters of the volume of offers in the range of 1.5-3 million rubles, and almost half of cars for 3-5 million rubles. At the same time, analysts added, there are practically no cars cheaper than 1.5 million.
