“For Poland to be sovereign, Poland must be strong. Economically strong, i.e. offering all citizens a decent standard of living. It must be militarily strong and finally it must be spiritually strong, Law and Justice head Jarosław Kaczyński said at today’s program convention in Warsaw.
“We need this work very, very badly.”
Good politics is acting wisely for the common good. Good governance is a government that serves the national community and serves every citizen. (…) We must turn to the experts who are the best, who know best what the Poles need. It means addressing the society, the nation, the Poles
– emphasized Jaroslaw Kaczyński.
Today’s meeting could be called such a moment, a moment of closure, a knot in the road. We called it beehive, one wonders why. Well, the beehive is a symbol of hard work, and we need this work very, very much.
– said the president of PiS.
Not only is it worthwhile, but it is also necessary to remember a certain fundamental concept for each country, and perhaps especially for ours. This concept is patriotism. I remember here the words of my late brother: “We must learn a new patriotism.” And what is patriotism? This is attachment, love for the fatherland, but it is something that must also lead to constant attitudes, deeds, action, work for the fatherland, readiness to defend it, readiness to build its strength, pride in this fatherland. Homeland, for it to be something truly complete, must be based on certain foundations. These foundations lie in our history
– said the president of PiS.
The basis is the sovereignty of our nation, the sovereignty and freedom of Poland. It was a movement, a red thread that has been running continuously through our history for centuries. Over time, a third issue of immense importance arose, and that issue is freedom and equality. Initially this only concerned the nobility, but fortunately that was a long time ago. Today the issue of equality is topical and must be implemented. (…) These words “Poland is one” express it well
he stressed.
For Poland to be sovereign, Poland must be strong. Economically strong, i.e. offering all citizens a decent standard of living. It must be militarily strong and finally it must be spiritually strong. (…) You have to ask questions about how things are now. Well, we are strengthening the economy, we are also expanding our armed forces. As for the spiritual, moral force, it has its opponents who fight to break it down, but these opponents fail. (…) Poles have a lot of spiritual strength
he noticed.
The strength, the growth of the strength of our nation, our state, has been shown in a truly extraordinary way in recent years. Let’s look at the economic issue first. After all, we’ve been through massive and unprecedented crises in recent years – the great COVID-19 epidemic, saving jobs, the economy, big efforts, but we could afford it. When the war, great support for Ukraine. It is the spiritual strength of those who welcomed Ukrainians here, but it is also the decisions of the state, its courage, the ability to provide this help. Finally another crisis – Putin inflation, that’s all. (…) We very often lead in rankings, for example when it comes to the tax wedge
he said.
We have implemented the programme, we have given democracy the right meaning. This is really very important
– he said.
We want to go step by step, getting closer to the moment when we will show the full program for the coming years. A program of progress, fast approach to the rich countries of Europe
he noticed.
“We have restored our democracy”
We have led to – to use mild words here – the restoration of our democracy. Because democracy is the rule of the people, the citizens. (…) Their essence is the emergence of power in the electoral process, which is of a competitive nature
– said the president of PiS, pointing out that it was about free competition.
Only these elections (…) can be an act of democracy, but they can also be an act of manipulation. When are they an act of manipulation? When something is promised during the election campaign that you do not intend to carry out, or even intend to do, but you do not know how
Kaczynski added.
As he noted, “in the latter case it could be unconscious, but also manipulation.”
We announced a lot. We had a show, a big show. And I can honestly say that we have implemented this program, we have given democracy its proper meaning
– said the president of PiS.
“We have not wasted our eight years”
Poland, if we look at it from the perspective of 2007, the electoral campaign at the time, would prosper during the years of the rule of our political opponents. There would be well-paid teachers and doctors, good education, great health care. And what happened – we all know
– pointed out the president of PiS.
He added that it was a time of great loss for our nation, “eight wasted years,” he noted.
We, ladies and gentlemen, of our years, our eight years, which we have not wasted. But we mustn’t waste the next one either. And in order not to waste it, we must also win these elections with the help of a program, a program that will appeal to all Poles, but also thanks to our enormous work
Kaczynski emphasized.
He pointed out that you have to work in the election campaign. He referred to information messages in various media that reached citizens and which – as he said – convey very different images of our homeland.
This image is true, that there really is a very significant progress, and there is this image that our opponents are creating: the image of ruin, collapse. The picture is completely counterfactual, but the power of the mass media is indeed very serious
– noted Kaczynski.
I open our meeting with faith and hope. Ul goes to work
– concluded the speech of the president of PiS.
