More than 76.3% of the VAZ vehicle fleet in Russia falls on vehicles over 10 years old, informs Autostat Info, a company specializing in processing automotive databases, states that the Lada fleet is showing a low refresh rate.
“The share of cars over 10 years old in the Lada fleet reaches 9 million 542.9 thousand, or 76.3%, while it is 65% in the entire fleet,” says the study.
The largest Lada (more than 1.37 million cars) among those registered in Russia remains the VAZ-2107 sedan. In second place is the VAZ-2109 (1.1 million cars), in the third place is the VAZ-2106 (more than 970 thousand cars). In fourth place is “Niva” (almost 938 thousand). More “fresh” Lada Granta is in fifth place: in our country there are 830.2 thousand of these cars.
In total, as of the beginning of 2023, 12.5 million VAZ vehicles are registered in Russia (28.6% of the total vehicle fleet).
