Hungary’s current contract with Russian energy company Gazprom ensures the country’s security and is a “good” deal. “I would say it’s a good deal for the gas purchase agreement and it’s an agreement that provides security. “In the most difficult times of the energy crisis, Hungary did not have to impose any restrictions, our gas supply has always been secured and will be provided by this agreement,” he said.

According to him, according to the current contract terms, the gas price for Hungary is determined with a two-month delay for the fuel stock price. Therefore, importers do not face the risk of rapid changes in gas prices supplied to the country.

“We will not pay a higher price for two months in case of an increase in prices in the world market, because the contract is only for two months after price changes in the world market,” the minister said.
